Promo: Will Todd have to give his son to Cassie? There’s more to the story. Segment 1 Todd: Step away from the baby. I’m not kidding. Put the kid down NOW. Blair: Todd it’s not our baby. Our baby is dead and this baby can’t replace him. Troy (shirtless, of course) has a dream about Nora lying next to him and at another point sticking her finger into a bottle of champagne then licking her finger (Yuck). Lindsay knocks on the door. I thought we were going to meet to talk about the fundraiser. Troy: Come on in. Let me grab a shirt. Lindsay: Don’t hurry on my account. Lindsay hears loud knocking sounds from above. What’s going on up there? I think Cris is moving his girlfriend in. Lindsay: Already! Not over my dead body. At the Community Center, Hank is playing Santa Claus and gets Matthew to sit on his lap. Sam is taking pictures. Matthew recognizes him and Hank tells him to keep his secret. RJ shows up: Nobody is buying the Santa Claus routine because Santa Claus would never poison the love of a girl for her father. Keri tells Nora that RJ is her father. Nora already knows but is surprised when Keri tells her that RJ is the one who told her who he was. Cassie: Todd, what Blair is doing is for the best. Starr: No, it’s not!!!! Cassie suggests that Starr go up to her room. This is something for your parents to work out. NO! I’m part of this family, too. Blair asks her to do as Cassie asked. Starr looks over at Todd who nods to indicate she should go. Cassie tells Todd that if he really loved Blair he would realize what he was doing to her with the baby is hurting her. Blair tells him that it is painful. Todd: Oh, but it’s all right to hurt the baby. Blair: She’s not going to hurt the baby. She’s just taking him home until Social Services can find him a home. Todd: OH, you think it’s okay if he goes home with a woman who just escaped from a looney bin! Segment 2 Blair: Cassie did not escape from the mental hospital. Todd: I was released. I’m in better mental health than you are. Todd: Anyone who would marry Kevin Buchanan is a few dimpled chads short of an presidential election. Cassie says that she does not have to take this. She is taking the baby upstairs and putting him in his crib then she is leaving alone. This is YOUR mess. Cassie leaves. Blair: Every time I hear that baby cry I’m reminded of the baby we lost. Todd: This baby will help you get over it. Blair: No, he won’t. Cassie is not going to hurt the baby. Please let her take him. Please let him go. Troy tries to convince Lindsay to stay out of Jen’s business but no such luck. How can I let her be with Cris when a wonderful boy like Al Buchanan is crazy about her? Lindsay struts up there and lies to Jen about how happy she is. I’m not going to do anything to interfere. Jen tells Lindsay that she did not tell Cris that she slept with Al. Segment 3 RJ is still freaking with Hank. Sam pulls RJ off. RJ is not mollified. I bet you were right there to console Liz when I was in prison. Hank: You gave up your rights when you got thrown in prison. Sam is shocked to learn Keri is RJ’s daughter. RJ accuses Henry of making sure that all Keri will ever know are a few bad things about him from the past. Hank storms away and RJ is left sitting in Santa’s chair and some kids come up: Did we miss Santa? Are you Santa? Nora tells Keri there is another side to RJ that she doesn’t know about. Are you saying I should give him another chance? Troy corners Cris and asks him about Jen. Cris tells him that Jen has nothing to do with Lindsay because she is a wreck. Don’t trust her or you’ll be sorry. Cris walks away. No, Lindsay is the one who is going to be sorry. Jen discuss the merits of telling Cris or not about Al. Jen is afraid if Cris learns the truth she will lose him. Lindsay says she waited to long to tell him. Maybe if you’d told him before you moved in with him. Maybe we should learn from my past and just keep this our little secret. Cris overhears them. Todd: Okay, fine, I’ll do what I can about the baby. It may take a few days like ‘til New Years. Blair: What! Todd: Social Services is backed up. You said you wanted a good home for him. Someone who will love him and care for him. Blair: That’s Cassie. She and Andrew were approved as foster parents. Todd: Why can’t that be you? Why can’t you love this baby like he’s your own. Blair: Because he isn’t. This isn’t about me. It’s about you. You’re the one who needs to make this baby his own. Segment 4 Jen suggest that Lindsay leave. Cris tells her not to keep secrets. Lindsay agrees and makes moves as if she is about to spill the beans. Jen is frantic and Lindsay switches gears and tells Cris it is about his Christmas gift. Whatever RJ is or has been, he was always wonderful with Rachel. Keri: You are saying I should give him another chance? I think someone should. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Hank. Nora: What happened? Hank: RJ happened. Keri, you were right to shut him out. Todd: What I’m saying is we both need this kid. Blair: What we need is to grieve. You me and Starr and not to try to replace the baby. I understand why you brought the baby. He’s sweet and he’s beautiful but he’s never going to be our baby. And I’m sorry that I didn’t think more about how this was affecting you but we need to do this. We need to move on as a family. Cassie comes in with the baby. He’s hungry. Is there formula? Todd: Yes, Blair will take care of it. Blair: Todd! Cassie: What do you want me to do? Blair: I want you to take the baby home and be good to him. Cassie turns and leaves. Blair flops down on the couch with tears in her eyes. Todd: You can’t even say goodbye to him. Blair shakes her head: No. Todd walks Cassie and the baby to the door. Cassie: I’ll be in touch. Segment 5 Cassie is at the Mill House rocking the baby and telling him what a sweet angel he is. Todd is on the phone telling Social Services that a wacky lady named Cassie Carpenter (That’s spelled Car, Pen, Ter) is going to call and say she has a baby but she is just a kook. Starr comes in and asks him how he could let Cassie take the baby. He tells her that it is going to be all right. Starr: You have a plan? Blair comes in with hot chocolate and suggests they watch a movie, A Christmas Carol. Todd says that he has to leave. Maybe I’ll rent Evil Dead 17 ( LOL a shout-out to the movie KDP starred in—Evil Dead 2). Blair tries to interest Starr in watching the movie but Starr refuses and says she misses the baby. Starr wants to go to the Mill House and see the baby. Hank is going on and on about how horrible RJ is but Keri defends him. The only thing he’s wanted when he found out that he was my father was to get to know me, unlike you who’s been running from the moment I hit town. I think I was wrong about RJ. Sam and Matthew return. Sam wants to know where Nora was earlier (when he was over at Troy’s threatening him). Lindsay returns to Troy’s frustrated over her encounter with Jen. He acts very interested in what happened. I want to know everything about you. Lindsay is flattered as Troy butters her up telling that what she does she does out of love and that Cris looks shady to him. Troy tells Lindsay that he ran into Cris and Cris badmouthed her. Lindsay yells threats at Cris and Troy calls her feisty: I like that. Segment 6 Jen tries to get Cris to drop the discussion but Cris is not buying it. He points out several discrepancies that indicate Lindsay is keeping her from telling him the truth. Troy moves in on Lindsay, touching her hair, and telling her that the way she acts is admirable and sexy. Troy commiserates and says he understands what she is going through. Everyone mistreated me when I came to town. We are very much alike. When we want someone or something we go for it. They kiss. Sam pretends to be upset with Nora but it’s only about her buying Matthew an unassembled bicycle. He sets out to put it together. Nora looks on with a wistful smile. I love you, Sam. RJ tells the children that he is not Santa but he is his helper. He’s charming with the children. Keri watches him then approaches him. When you are through here, I would really like us to go out and have dinner together. Some place public where I can be seen with my father. Blair hugs Starr: I’m sorry but you can’t see the baby. Starr: You didn’t even let me say goodbye or give him the presents. Blair: What presents? Starr drags out several shopping bags full of stuff. Please just let me give the baby his presents. Blair: No matter what the baby can’t come stay here. Starr: Just let me say goodbye to him. It’s all I want for Christmas. Let me give him his presents. Blair agrees to take Starr to Cassie’s but says she is not going inside. Starr smiles triumphantly. Todd sneaks into the Mill House and picks up the baby: I’m taking you home where you belong. I’m getting you out of here. You’re my son. Cassie walks up behind him. Previews: Starr and Blair at Cassie’s front door. Starr: You want to see the baby as much as I do! Todd to Cassie: How long have you been standing there? Cassie: Long enough to have heard every word you said. Keri to RJ: I think it’s about time I got to know my father. Jen and Cris |
